Is Deepika Padukone copying Katrina Kaif?

This must be the exact feeling enveloping director Prakash Jha, when Padukone requested him for something. While most actors do it by reserving their demands on their directors, Padukone charmingly requested her director to get her way. Okay, now not holding on to the surprise any further, DNA has come to know about Deepika’s special wish.

The actress wanted a song like Mora Piya from the film Rajneeti to be picturised on her — just like the way it was picturised on actors Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif.Known for the melodious music in his films, Jha, for his upcoming film Aarakshan, was surprised when he heard of Padukone’s request.

A source adds, “Deepika is a smart girl and knows exactly how to put forward her wishes. Before the film’s shooting, Deepika requested via sms to Prakash Jha to feature a love ballad on her, with a happy face smiley at the end. And her wish was granted. It was bound to — as where most actors reserve peculiar demands for their directors and are in the news for their tantrums. It was clear that Padukone’s charming approach to get her special song worked.”

When asked about the request, Padukone said, “I remember how Mora piya was such a rage. I remember messaging him (Prakash Jha) to please give me a good romantic song in his new film because Prakashji has a really good sense of music. I was really looking forward to shooting this song and it’s turned out amazing. Till now, Mora piya was always played on loop on my mp3 player wherever I was travelling. But now its Seedhe point pe aaona, which is such a playful and cute romantic song.”

The song features Padukone opposite actor Saif Ali Khan. Just like the Ranbir-Kat chemistry, there is a lot of buzz about Deepika-Saif’s camaraderie, which was visible in their earlier film Love Aaj Kal. But we’ll have to wait and watch to know if this number becomes a hit amongst the youth... given that the song is a result of Padukone’s sweet persuasion.

Why no takers for Katrina Kaif’s sister?

It’s almost a year since she showed a keen interest in doing a Bollywood film, but actor Katrina Kaif’s sister Isabellahas not been able to finalise her debut film yet.Interestingly, Katrina too confirmed sometime back that she will not be producing the movie that launches her sister.

“We are looking for a suitable project to launch my sister. There’s nothing to announce as of now. I am not going to produce any film for sure. She is going to do the usual Bollywood rounds (meeting filmmakers with her portfolio like any newcomer),” Katrina said at an event recently.

Sources say quite a few filmmakers have sought meetings with Isabella to launch her in their films, but Katrina, who’s ambitious for her sister, apparently does not want to settle for anything less than a big project.

“Almost all the big banners (belonging to filmmakers Aditya Chopra, Karan Johar and actor Shah Rukh Khan) have launched a youth divison of their production house to specifically target the high school audience.

Katrina believes that such a project will be a good launch pad for her younger sister,” says a source.
The problem is that most of the production houses have just releasedtheir youth centric films, andit will take some time before they announce their next project. Sources say that if at all Isabella makes her debut then it would most likely be a SRK or Karan Johar production.

“Shah Rukh has already recommended Isabella to Karan. She’s going through screen tests and getting her portfolio clicked, and has decided to step out in public only when she finalises a project,” says a source adding that Isabelle has already started moving around in the social circles of Mumbai. She has been photographed alongside her high profile sister in a lot of parties, especially those thrown by actors Salman Khan and Shah Rukh.

So, what isdelaying her Bollywood debut? The same reason that dogged Katrina for years — her lack of command over Hindi. Sources say that Isabella has already got two Hindi diction teachers and speech coaches to learn the language.
