Alia Bhatt (born 15 March 1993) is an Indian actress who appears in Bollywood films. Born into a family where her parents, Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan, and elder sister Pooja Bhatt were actors and filmmakers, Bhatt made her acting debut at the age of nineteen with Karan Johar's Student Of The Year (2012), which emerged as a box-office commercial success.
Personal life
Alia was born in Mumbai to Bollywood personalities Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan. Her father Mahesh Bhatt is a director, producer, and screenwriter while her mother Soni Razdan is a film actress and director. She has one sister Shaheen Bhatt, a half sister Pooja Bhatt, and a half brother Rahul Bhatt. Actor Emraan Hashmi and director Mohit Suri are her cousins and producer Mukesh Bhatt is her uncle.Alia has completed high-school from Jamnabai Narsee School IB in May 2011.
Career
Bhatt's first movie role was as a child artist when with Sangharsh (1999), starring Akshay Kumar and Preity Zinta where she played the younger Zinta.
In 2012, Bhatt made her debut in Karan Johar's Student Of The Year along with Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan.Her performance were appreciated with film critic Taran Adarsh from Bollywood Hungama stating, "Alia's role is reminiscent of Kareena Kapoor in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham [remember Poo?]. Stylish, classy, born with a silver spoon, she's someone who loves to flaunt not just her clothes and bags, but also her riches. Kat to perform daredevil stunts in Dhoom 3
But instead of taking things easy, the actress is busy training for performing daredevil stunts in Dhoom 3.
In her third consecutive movie for Yashraj, Katrina will be seen playing Aamir Khan's love interest. Aamir plays a thief while Kat is said to be a ballet dancer.
Katrina will be working for four hours a day to get into shape. A special floor has been kept for her at the Yashraj studio, but Kat is a bit nervous as she will be doing action sequences opposite Aamir.
She thinks it's going to be a challenging job for her.

Superstar Aamir Khan said he is looking forward to working with Katrina Kaif in Dhoom 3. The 47-year-old actor said he was trying to alter his looks in the film. "I am looking forward to working with Katrina. This is the first time I will be working with her. My look in the film is under progress", he said. Khan cleared the rumours that there is no similarity between his yet to be released Talaash and the already released Vidya Balan starrer Kahani. Khan, who is making his debut in television by hosting Satyamev Jayate, said due to the show the release of Talaash got delayed. "This show has enveloped my life completely.. I am not known to multi task. The film is very special to me.. it is coming after 2 years. So we selected a new date of Nov 30," he said. The actor said he is not interested in Politics. "I am not interested in politics. That does not interest me. I am an entertainer. I make people laugh, cry and do different things..', Aamir said.
