Karan Johar has released the first look of Agneepath item song Chikni
Chameli starring Katrina Kaif on Twitter. While there is a lot of buzz
about the item song, the look has disappointed some people who think it
is reminiscent of Katrina's Sheila Ki Jawani.
"Looks like Katrina had liposuction! Reminiscent of Sheila. But looking fwd to Agneepath...," posted a twitter user.
"she looks eyooo! she doesnt suit sexy avatar! bipasha, malaika , kareena looks hot!katrina is just cute 0 hotness!NIL!," says Imroz Singh Maur another twitter user.
Some feel Sheila Ki Jawani was better than Chikni Chameli. "I'm not too sure if Chikni Chameli will be the hottest item song of the "century"...surpassing Sheila Ki Jawani is not a piece of cake," wrote Sajid Hossain.
Karan Johar had earlier tweeted, "Katrina Kaif is doing a full on item song in AGNEEPATH....its a total swinging number called CHIKNI CHAMELI....we shoot it in a week!!" (sic)
Agneepath, directed by Karan Malhotra, stars Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Dutt. While Hrithik Roshan would be reprising the role of Vijay Deenanath Chauhan, Sanjay Dutt will play Kaancha Cheena from the original Agneepath.
Agneepath is the remake of 1990 flick, directed by Mukul Anand, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Mithun Chakraborty, Madhavi and Danny Dengzongpa. It was produced by Karan Johar's father Yash Johar.
Priyanka Chopra had also earlier tweeted, "Saw the new trailer of Agneepath that's gonna come out! Wow!Take a bow karan malhotra!look forward to some sexy surprises u don't expect!fun!" she tweeted.
"Music dance and other 'items' are on the cards...can't say more...except it's sooooper exciting!" she added.
